MOAB - Team Yankee

MOAB (Mother Of All Wargaming conventions) is the largest wargaming convention in NSW and probably the second largest in Australia after Cancon. It has always been based in the Sylvania Community Centre in southern Sydney.

MOAB promises a wide variety of vendors, tournaments, demonstration games and the famous bring and buy area. Over the next few days I will share some of what I see with a particular focus on Flames of War and Team Yankee.

Let’s start with Team Yankee. With recent releases of the new West Germans and Brits, there was quite a lot of buzz in the Team Yankee area. Peter from Battlefront was there handing out the new small format rule books.

Here are some of the photos I managed to capture:

A nice looking TY tabls. Despite only being published a short while, players have embraced painting figures and creating nice looking tables.

Check out the destroyed T72s and BMPs in the bottom RH corner!

What? A close up of the carnage? Sure, why not.

West Germans. The compitition allowed proxies and base coated to encourage as many new players as possible. Check out the excellent dice of war tins and dice.

Great to see the new roads along side some of the older WW2 terrain.

So, that is all I managed to snap and observe for TY today. I will be back soon with some late war photos and other happenings from MOAB.

Stay tuned.
